LONG RANGE PALLET HANDLING SYSTEM FOR CONTROL OF MACHINE TOOLS

As well as the Multi-level Tower Palletizer described in the previous page, our Pallet Handling System integrates the cells for loading/loading of machine tools or other machinery (for ex.: assembly machines); it is particularly suitable to handle delicate which are not suitable for random feeding processes (partially machined pieces or pieces with delicate surfaces which cannot stand markings, etc.).
Also suitable for control of machine tools with medium-long working cycles and unattended by staff, it offers several hours of self-sustained automatic machining.
This system consists of the following:
– Roller or chain belt conveyor for pallet loading, used to place pallets inside the robotized cell where the anthropomorphic robot picks up the parts to be loaded onto the machine.
– A CNC driving system with Cartesian axis movements which move pallets from loading to unloading areas.
– An unloading line for the removal of machined pieces.
HOW IT WORKS
1- Pallets can be loaded onto a previous robotic system applied on another machine tool in the unloading step, or by an operator while the machine is working on another piece.
2- Then they are placed on the loading conveyor belt where the system collects them in the expected sequential position, ready for the machine-loading anthropomorphic robot.
3- The empty pallets are then placed into the unloading area, where they are used again for post-processing storage.
